Little Birds
(2020)
A young English aristocrat in 1955 travels to Tangier seeking adventure and escape from her stifling home life, where she becomes entangled with a group of exiled drifters and expatriates. Set against the backdrop of the city's charged political atmosphere as Moroccan independence looms, she pursues a reckless engagement to a dissolute American whilst navigating a world of desire, deception and moral ambiguity. The series, based on Anaïs Nin's short stories, follows several interweaving stories of characters adrift in a city on the edge of transformation.
