A father desperately searches for his young son, who has been abducted by a serial killer known as the Origami Killer, whilst several other characters — including an FBI profiler, a private detective, and a journalist — pursue their own investigations into the same case. The story unfolds as an interactive drama in which the player's choices directly shape the narrative and determine which characters survive. Themes of parental love, sacrifice, and moral compromise run throughout, as protagonists are forced into increasingly extreme situations to uncover the truth.
