A young woman travels to Germany to investigate the murder of her brother, who was killed in what appears to be a gangland massacre connected to the Calabrian 'Ndrangheta. As she digs deeper into the criminal underworld operating in the German city of Duisburg, she uncovers a web of violence and corruption that puts her own life in danger. The story draws on the real-world presence of Italian organised crime networks that have taken root in northern Europe.
