Film Pages

enCAST now has a page for many of the films and television programmes our actors have worked on. Each page shows the enCAST actors who appeared in that production. This guide explains how it works and what you can do.

What is a film page? #

A film page is a page for one production (a feature film or a television programme). It shows the title, the director, the year, a short summary, and a list of the enCAST actors who were in it. Anyone can view these pages, including people who are not logged in.

How you get added to a film #

There are two ways your name can appear on a film.

  1. From your CV. We read the CV you have uploaded and add the feature films and television you have been in. We only add full length feature films and television programmes. We do not add short films, adverts, theatre, student films, music videos or similar. If we are not sure what something is, we leave it out.
  2. Add yourself. If you are a PRO actor, you will see an Add me to this film button on a film page. When you click it, you must tick a box to confirm that you really acted in that film. Your credit may be checked against the film's IMDb page.

When you are first added, your credit is marked as unconfirmed until we have checked it.

Who can see your name on a film? #

Your credit on a film follows the privacy setting on your own profile. So:

If you want to change who can see your credits, change the privacy setting on your profile.

Taking yourself off a film #

If you are on a film and you do not want to be, use the "Remove" button next to your name. This takes you off that film. Please note that removing yourself also deletes any pictures you added to that film.

Adding pictures to a film #

If you are a PRO actor and you are listed on a film, you can add pictures to that film page.

Only add pictures that you have the right to share.

On the film page, one picture is shown near the top. Click it to see it full size and to scroll through all the pictures for that film.

If a picture is ever removed by us, it is kept on our records but is no longer shown on the site.

Telling us about a film #

At the bottom of every film page there is a button called Send us an update about this film. Anyone can use it, even guests. Use it to tell us about anything that is wrong or missing, for example a wrong year, a missing actor, or the wrong director. Your message comes straight to us with a link to the film.

Finding films #

The Films page lists all the films. They are shown with the films that have the most enCAST actors first. The small number on each picture is how many enCAST actors are in that film. You can search at the top by film title or by director's name.

Deleting your account #

If you delete your enCAST account, any pictures you added to films are removed as well.
