Why is my Account Locked?

To keep your account safe, we lock it for a short time after too many wrong password tries. This stops other people from guessing your password.

What causes a lock? #

• Your account locks after 10 wrong password tries.
• Once locked, you must wait 30 minutes before trying again.
• Changing your password does not lock your account — only wrong tries do.

What should I do? #

1. Stop and wait 30 minutes. Trying again straight away only keeps the lock going.
2. Check your password carefully. Look for Caps Lock, extra spaces, or a typo.
3. If you are not sure of your password, use Forgot your password to set a new one. Wait until you are unlocked before you try the new password.
4. After 30 minutes, type your correct password once. A successful login clears the lock straight away.
