The Disciple

A young classical vocalist in Maharashtra dedicates his entire life to mastering the demanding tradition of Indian classical music under the guidance of his guru, sacrificing relationships and personal happiness in pursuit of artistic perfection. As decades pass, he is forced to confront the painful gap between his ambitions and his actual achievements, questioning whether true greatness is even attainable.
