Regie Jan Švankmajer (2010)
A middle-aged man becomes increasingly consumed by a vivid recurring dream in which he is passionately in love with a mysterious woman, leading him to prefer his dream existence over his waking life and marriage. He seeks out a psychoanalyst to help him understand these visions, and the sessions draw him into explorations of Freudian and Jungian theory as he uncovers repressed memories involving his mother. The film blends live action with cut-out animation to blur the boundary between the dreaming and waking worlds.
