Baghdad in my Shadow

A group of Iraqi exiles living in London gather regularly at a café run by one of their compatriots, each carrying the weight of their pasts and struggling to reconcile their identities between two worlds. Tensions emerge as a young gay Iraqi man faces persecution from within his own community, whilst a female writer battles conservative pressures threatening her freedom of expression. The lives of these displaced individuals intertwine as old-world prejudices and traditions collide with the liberties and complexities of life in the West.
