Imago Mortis

A film student becomes obsessed with a forgotten 19th-century technique called thanatography, which supposedly captures images of the last thing seen before death imprinted on the victim's retina. When students at his academy begin dying under mysterious circumstances, he finds himself drawn deeper into a macabre secret society preserving this dark art. The investigation blurs the line between his scholarly curiosity and genuine danger as the body count rises and the ancient practice proves disturbingly real.
