The second season expands the scope considerably, drawing the central characters into a globe-spanning conspiracy involving demonic forces, the Vatican, and shadowy organisations competing for ancient and terrible power. The priest, alongside a local vet and former mayor, must confront increasingly apocalyptic threats as the true nature of the coins and their corrupting influence is revealed.
