Viking

A lavish Russian historical epic set in the tenth century, following the Viking prince Vladimir as he fights to claim the Kievan Rus throne after his father's death sets his brothers against one another in a brutal struggle for power. Exiled and forced to seek refuge in Scandinavia, Vladimir returns with a formidable army to wage war on his siblings and ultimately unite the fractured realm. The film blends violent battle sequences with political intrigue as Vladimir evolves from an outcast into the legendary ruler who would later become a foundational figure in Russian history.
