Casting Calls and the Information We Show

When we receive a casting, we always publish as much information about it as we can. Our aim is for you to see who is behind a project and what it involves, so you can decide for yourself whether it is right for you and whether it is worth your time.

Where a production gives us the details, we will show them on the casting page. This can include:

We would rather show you a real name and a real link than leave you guessing, because we understand the position you are in. The production sees your name and your photos from the moment you apply. It is fair that you should be able to see who they are in return.

Why some castings have less information than others #

Sometimes full details are not available, and this is normal in the industry. Many casting calls come from student productions or from very small, independent projects that are not backed by a large company.

In those cases there often is not a company name, a website, or a public team to point to, simply because the production is small or just starting out. It does not necessarily mean anything is wrong.

When a casting comes from a larger or more established company, we will show whatever information we can so you can see clearly who is involved.

Either way, we put up what we have. If the information on a casting looks thin, that is almost always because that is all the production has given us, not because we are holding anything back.

What we can and cannot promise #

We carry out the checks that are available to us before a casting goes live, and we always contact productions when we post. We will query or remove anything that does not look right.

What we cannot do is guarantee that every production is exactly who they say they are. No platform can honestly promise that. We give you as much information as we can so that you can make your own judgement, and we ask you to use it.

Read each casting carefully. Be careful about what you share and with whom. If anything about a casting, or about someone who contacts you, does not feel right, walk away from it and report it to us. We will look into it.
