Casting Overview
Casting young actresses in Germany (preference for Berlin-based applicants) for a short film, a BA graduation project at the University of Fine Arts Hamburg (HFBK).
About the Film: On a bright summer day in a new-build German town, twin teenage sisters fall into silence after a fight. Still together, they wander through the empty streets of their hometown. The hot concrete offers no comfort, so they seek shade at the edge of town, where the planned streets dissolve into forest and road. There, they encounter forms of life that pass unnoticed within the town’s habitual flow
Shooting Details:
Location: Berlin
Dates: a few days in the second half of July 2026
Rehearsals: a few meetings in advance
Application deadline: 31 March 2026
Compensation: This is a student project, so the fee is modest but will be provided.
Roles
Looking for two girls aged 16–19 (up to 21 possible if you look younger). Native German speakers. Applications from all are welcome!
Ideally looking for twin sisters or two similarly looking sisters, but applications are also encouraged from teens who do not look alike or are applying as a single sister. The casting process is open and collaborative – new ideas and perspectives are welcome.
