Casting Overview
Vienna-based theatre company focused on English-language storytelling are casting their annual production of 'A Christmas Carol' at Theater Spielraum, Vienna. This annual production of the Victorian classic has been a fixture at Christmas time in Vienna for over 40 years.
Rehearsals: 9th November – 9th December 2026.
Performances: 9th–23rd December 2026, with approximately 2 shows per day, one of which will be for school groups.
Auditions will be held in Vienna on 3rd & 4th October 2026.
Payment: €1,000 guaranteed, plus a bonus dependent on ticket sales.
Roles
Strong character actor, male or female, 50-60, to play Scrooge. All applicants must:
-be based in or near Vienna
-have professional training and/or experience
-be a native or near-native English speaker, with Received Pronunciation (RP) British accent (Cockney is not required for this role).
-be able to sing to a high standard and move well.
