Casting Overview
Casting 'Facing The Waves' a new musical from Dogwood Productions whose recent shows have toured England and been heard on BBC Radio 4.
Dogwood is the official theatre partner for the RNLI as it celebrates its 200th anniversary in 2024.
The new songs and music come from the award-winning, West End composer, Alastair Collingwood. The show brings together an iconic Victorian hero and a young mum, from the present day. But life by the sea isn’t all chips and ice cream, and both face personal challenges. Not everyone can be saved.
The show will premiere in Whitby before touring Yorkshire and the North-East. There will be a three week rehearsal period. The production has been supported by Arts Council England funding.
Rehearsals start 31st August. Tour concludes 13th October 2024
