Casting Overview

Casting German-speaking actors based in BCN for a role in ”James Güntzel”, a student short film.

‘James Güntzel’ is a war/drama short film, set in World War II, in which we explore the internal conflicts of two enemy soldiers at the Allies’s trenches. Our protagonists, the young soldiers Hans (German) and James (American), are forced by the circumstances to fight in a war that doesn’t represent them nor they want to be part of. But once the blood is shed, will they be able to survive? Or will they escape?

Shooting in Barcelona between 06/02/2025 – 10/02/2025

Role not paid but expenses covered (transport within the BCN province and accommodation).

We are intending to give the short film the greatest realism and historical rigor possible. Our team is formed by young students with previous experience in shootings and short films. With ‘James Güntzel’, we want to break into renowned national and international film festivals, and get ourselves into a more ambitious project to end up with good material for our CV and get a good experience overall.
