Casting ’Dinner is Ready’ a short film. It is a student production from first-year film student at SAE Amsterdam. The film is approx. 6 min long and is entirely in English. The short has the Italian Neorealism historical era as stylistic reference.

The story mainly follows a couple arguing, with the fight escalating, going from something minimal to having the female main character, Lily to question the essence of their relationship.

Shooting Date: first or second week of July 2024. It will last 2 days (most likely within weekdays).

Shooting Location: Amsterdam North

Production Company: SAE Amsterdam

No monetary compensation but drinks, coffee, and food provided throughout the shooting days.

FEMALE MAIN CHARACTER: Lily f, 25-30, English speaker, preferably red hair or brunette. Lily is a hard-working, loving person. She devoted herself entirely to her relationship. Requirements: 1. Able to cry on command 2. Available for some extra days for rehearsals 3. Willing to conduct a 'chemistry test' in person with the other actor 4. Capable of memorising a lot of dialogue.

MALE MAIN CHARACTER: Mark m, 25-30, English speaker, preferably clean-shaven. Mark is somehow a spoiled rich guy. He seems to have used Lily's loving devotion in their relationship as a tool to build his “perfect” girlfriend, someone who fits not only his standards but also his family's standards. Requirements: 1. Available for some extra days for rehearsals 2. Willing to conduct a 'chemistry test' in person with the other actor 3. Capable of memorising a lot of dialogue.
