Casting Overview
Casting English-speaking actors based in or around Amsterdam for roles in "ROGOWSKI", a historical short film set in 1940s, in Santo Ângelo (Brazil) about a German immigrant family who escaped to Brazil in search of safety and peace.
SYNOPSIS: The Rogowski family is faced with a different kind of war as national discrimination is spreading across the country, leading to hatred, suspicion, and fear against the family. The protagonists are two men, a father and son. Both engineers, working towards the future of their company. As the world around them closes in, they set aside their ambitions to protect what matters most: the family's survival. In an attempt to provide protection and reassurance to the family, both get arrested under false accusations of espionage. A bargain is placed before each one of them: one may return home at a cost, while the other must remain imprisoned.
Verena Rogowski Becker, a family descendant, tells the story to her children, marking the remembrance of the ROGOWSKI legacy and the sacrifices made to preserve their identity, as the story continues to pass down the family line.
