Casting Overview

For an artistic short film, ”Vegetable” by Merlin Hermsen.

Synopsis: After Amara receives emergency treatment from her father, Amara falls in love with an office plant in the hospital waiting room.

’’Vegetable’’ is a story about hope, the relationship between man and nature. The film is written by Merlijn Hermsen and Sam Niehorster. 

In 2021 they made the short film ’’C’’ together, which has now been sent around the film festival circuit. The film has already been selected for the lift-off global network sessions festival and the one earth awards. The aim is to also send ’Vegetable’ to various (international) festivals.

Filming is aimed for 6-7th June. The film is fiction and will last around 5 minutes.
