Casting Overview

For a short film (low budget, indie production).

Synopsis: 65-year-old RUUD acquired status and money as a photographer and artist, but after the diagnosis of lung-fibrosis, the end of his life is suddenly approaching. He joins Zen Buddhism (concentration meditation). He learns to live in a free way and opens his eyes to see the beauty of life. He comes to new insights. During the last vacation with his son AXEL, he tries to teach him the new insights of his way of life. AXEL struggles with his dying father’s mindset. He resists the fact that he will soon lose his father and is annoyed by his father who has resigned himself to it. He sees his father enjoying instead of mourning. At the beginning of the holiday, RUUD and AXEL clash, but gradually AXEL realizes that there is not enough time to keep fighting.
