Friends with Bennies is a brand new scripted comedy/drama that follows the exploits of a diverse cast of Gen Z’s as they express, explore and experiment with their sex and sexuality through the wild west of dating apps.
This pilot episode follows Benny who matches with a South African Sheina, only to discover they have more in common then they realise.

SHEINA
Born in South Africa, she has travelled to London to find work, and whilst there has agreed to check in on her elderly aunt Ruth, her grandfather's sister, who she hasn't seen since childhood. One day, whilst looking for work she matches with Benny on the apps. He's cute, funny and polyamorous like her. It's casual, but there's a spark and they plan to meet again later. Meanwhile, she goes to visit her aunt only to discover Benny there too.
Please confirm your English accent; Sheina has a South African accent, but production will also consider Australian. (Link to your language reel if you have one.)

NANA G
Nana G is Benny's grandmother. She is 75 and after the death of her late husband, sexually liberated. She is inspired by her grandson who tells her all about his sex life even if she is funding half of it. Nana invites Benny over for bagels and tea, and to meet her great niece from South Africa who she hasn't seen in over 20 years.
