Casting Overview

Casting 'Lotus Flower', a 3-minute student-made short film with no dialogue based around a struggling queer girl named Cara.

Synopsis:
Cara is a quiet and reserved girl struggling to accept herself as a lesbian. We follow her in her day-to-day life, getting flashes of her past relationship. She finds herself at a bar where she meets a proudly gay couple. They take her under their wing and inspire her to learn to accept herself over time. Cara then reunites with her past partner because of this. Relationships are shown in this film by the use of the ‘red string of fate’ which ties two soulmates together.

Roles unpaid as it is a student production, but all travel expenses within Ireland will be covered. 

Filming in Celbridge, Kildare in February 2024 (exact dates TBD).
