Casting Overview

Casting an amateur stage production of ’Gas Light’, directed by Jeff Book, experienced stage and film actor and produced by FEST e.V, the Frankfurt English Speaking Theatre.

Gas Light is a 1938 thriller play, set in 1880s London, written by the British novelist and playwright Patrick Hamilton. Hamilton’s play is a dark tale of a marriage based on deceit and trickery, and a husband committed to driving his wife insane in order to steal from her.

Performances on: November 22, 23, 24, 29, 30 and December 1, 2024.

Location: Kulturhaus Frankfurt

Rehearsals 2-3 times per week in person beginning September. Online read-throughs beginning mid-August.

The project is not paid, but the Production states that: “This is a great opportunity for an experienced stage actor to be part of a terrific play and be part of a dedicated and talented ensemble.”.
