Casting actors for a Diploma thesis / film – Spec Spot 40-60”.

For this storydriven car commercial we are looking for Marla & Mae. They should be fun, deliver some ironic humorous lines and carry the contagious feeling of joy while driving the Porsche.

Outline: Marla (44) and Mae’s (42) friendship is sisterhood-like. With brutal honesty as a rock solid base and a „I’ll catch you if you fall and kick your ass to get you back on your feet“ mentality. Their enthusiasm is contagious, their humor dark and dry. Marla & Mae leave the big city behind and go on a road trip with their Porsche Taycan from Frankfurt through the Italian Dolomites, past Lago di Garda towards Tuscany. Along the way they collect a special form of “Postcards” which turn out as camera speeding tickets in the end.

Marla (Lead Role) f, 35-55, English (fluent), must have a valid driver's license and experience of left hand drive. *IMPORTANT* We are looking for a car enthusiast who has precision driving skills or at least had some driving lessons on track and is familiar with driving a sportscar with 500hp. NB: Driving Skills: Absolutely necessary, the actresses need excellent driving skills and should be able to drive our Porsche Taycan. They will drive a brand new automatic Taycan with left hand drive. So they should also feel confident in a sports car. Even though we won’t drive super fast we need an actress that really feels comfortable behind the wheel! -------------------------- Character Traits: She owns the Porsche. She has a super ironic sense of humor and always has a dry joke that you don't expect. She's like Mae's big sister. She's wild and brave and very self-confident. strong, charismatic aura, contagious smile, dark & ironic sense of humor, cheeky attitude, a bit dreamy but not girly!!, strong self-esteem Movie character references: Trinity in Matrix: her strengths and self-esteem Mia and Letty from Fast & Furious: their love for cars, skilled drivers, dark humor Bonus: Personal interest in cars, some basic knowledge about cars
