We are searching for the lead role for an Italian film produced by Avventurosa and directed by Maurizio Braucci.

The film tells the story of the city of Naples in the 1970s as seen through the eyes of a young Italian American anthropologist.

Shooting in Naples in late 2023.

ROLE: THOMAS m, 25-45, able to speak Italian with a strong American accent, preferably actors whose MT is American. Thomas is an Italian American anthropologist who moves to Naples during the year of 1974 to do research for his Ph.D. A third generation working class American, he is the first in his family to pursue higher education, an atypical intellectual. Speaks good Italian with a strong American accent.

A video in which you take a short walk in front of the camera with different framing values (without looking into the lens), full frame (from head to toe) / half-frame (from the waist up) / close-up (just the face).

You have to play the character of Thomas. The lines must be recited in ITALIAN. (The English text translation is only there for a better understanding of the scene). Don't worry if your Italian pronunciation is not perfect!
If you don't have a person who can give you Eduardo's lines, improvise a monologue in Italian in which you imagine you are haggling over the price of a toilet repair.
