Casting Overview

English Theatre Düsseldorf is currently casting professional actors for our upcoming Irish production, BELFAST GIRLS by Jaki McCarrick, to be directed by Ilya Parenteau.

”Escaping the Irish famine in 1850 five young women seek passage on a ship to Australia. For many of the ‘orphan girls’ on board, the voyage offers the promise of a fresh start. But many find that they cannot escape the memory of the lives they’ve left behind – and that the closer they get to Australia the more powerful the past becomes.”

Rehearsals from 19th February – 13th March 2024.
Performances (10 in total), Thursdays – Sundays from 14th March – 24th March 2024 in Düsseldorf, Germany.

A guaranteed minimum flat fee of 2000 € for the rehearsals and performances will be provided, plus travel and accommodation if based outside of Düsseldorf.
*Important Note to UK/non-EU applicants: a passport with minimum 6 months until expiry would be required to travel to Germany.
