Casting Overview

Casting 'Astro Boy' a proof of concept, action sci-fi, student short film.

Logline: Set in a dystopian world, a lone-wolf spaceman treks for treasure until he finds a boy in the middle of his path. It is an action packed adventure, but the true heart of the story lies with a boy who tries to find a father figure to look up to.

Shooting: 21st June - 8pm to 10pm, 22nd June - 6pm to 10pm

Shooting Location: East London (IG8) Area

The majority of the short has been filmed already, however to delve into the story's theme tThe Director has decided on pickups to add to the human elements of this film. In this extra pickups, will be using professional film industry equipment including Blackmagic Ursa Camera.

The project will be submitted to various film festivals. The Director and Producer have a strong connection as they are co-founders of COMZ Productions and worked together previously on the award-winning micro short, "Colour Blind".

Due to this being a student short film, can only pay travel expenses towards this role. You will be credited on the film and IMDB and where else appropriately decided by the Producer.
