Casting Overview
For a short film titled “Wolfe”.
Synopsis: A modern cautionary tale about a Bailiff who repossesses items from debtors. On his debt collection, Peter encounters a surreal experience that will change his life forever.
Shooting date November 2022, in and around London.
Paid work: £100 per day.
Roles
LEAD ROLE: Peter
m, 40-60, White/European descent, must have a driving licence as you will be driving a vehicle. Being able to grow a moustache is a bonus but not compulsory.
Peter is a darkened Bailiff in the pursuit of money and riches, who will do anything to get money and repossess items from debtors. He's a stoic, a big lump of a man, a bigot. Travis Bickle from Taxi Driver meets Phil Mitchell from Eastenders.
SUPPORTING ROLE: Alfred
m, 18, Black/African descent
Alfred is a serial gamer who makes money online. A real, funny guy, full of energy, and always up for a laugh.
SUPPORTING ROLE: Mary
f, 55-79
Mary is an older woman in debt who has mysterious supernatural abilities. She has a strong resemblance to the wicked witch. On the surface, she seems slow but she is cunning, smart and well-spoken.
SUPPORTING ROLE: Barunka
f, 25-45, petite, must be able to speak another language, preferably from the Balkan and surrounding area. Eastern European actresses fluent in their native language are encouraged to apply for this role.
Barunka is a single mother struggling to pay debts. Tired from handling three children, although well-kept.
NOTE: If you have children (10-15) who also speak another language, we encourage you and your children to apply for the roles of: mother, sons (10-15), and daughter (8-10).
