Casting Overview
Casting student short film "The Drop" (Genre: Crime Thriller, Drama), to be released to film festivals.

At the heart of this crime gang story is two brothers, who went different paths, rehash the reality of their family past that made them who they are now. Fighting alternative perspectives of morality and explores an Ozymandias fall from power.
LOGLINE: A mob boss' valuable shipment has been intercepted by an unknown force and only one gang member is alive to answer for it. Whilst he's tortured, it becomes clear that there's more to the conspiracy.
The shoot will be held in Doncaster, so preference will be given to actors based in the area.
Shooting dates will be 2-3 days (within a 5 hour window) in either January or February 2025.
Casting sessions will be held one date between 16th November to 7th December in Manchester.
Travel and food expenses paid only for shoot dates.
Roles
ROLE: PERCY (Lead)
m, 29 - 59
Percy was a military man. He's put together, rarely makes mistakes, and is always concentrated. He's the only man alive after a shipment of cocaine was stolen, making him the one tortured and interrogated by the mob boss, Oz. Not only is Oz his boss, but he's also revealed to be his older brother, who he has clear hatred for, blaming him for dooming their family. Which is why he's undercover, as part of his brother's mob gang, for revenge. He's an undercover National Crime Agent.
ROLE: OZ (Antagonist)
m, 29 - 59, ideally with a London accent
A powerful mob boss who thinks of himself as the Ozymandias who will not fall. He's built his life and status on crime and he's in denial that it could ever end for him. When his empire starts crumbling around him (revolved around the stolen shipment); rage and tension takes over him. Oz is a monster who does monstrous things to protect the people he loves. Despite the necessary torture, he cares for his little brother.
ROLE: DEAN
m, 29 - 59
He's Oz's, (the mob boss') goon/heavy. They're close as they've grown up in the same crime life together. He's completely loyal to Oz, always ready to help in any way.
ROLE: RONNY
m, 21 - 59
A less-experienced goon of Oz's, used for logistical tasks. He's always liked Percy, so it doesn't want him to suffer.
ROLE: JOHN (featured extra with lines)
m, 29 - 59
A laid back pilot that drops off Oz's cocaine shipments. He prefers to stay away from the real action.
ROLE: RICHIE
m, 21 - 49
A dirty cop that would always choose to do wrong if given the chance. When off-duty, he's usually coked up off his head. Without any care for anyone else, he's always causing trouble. He's revealed to be the thief who helped steal the cocaine shipment.
