Casting Overview
For a graduation film of students of the Leeds Beckett University.
’The Rising Sun’ follows a group of old men who indulge in old habits (gambling, drinking, smoking) contrary to family/doctor’s advice. At a poker game the main character, John, suffers a stroke and he decides to conceal his condition in order to see out the game.
Filming dates 30th March to 2nd April 2022.
Shooting locations are in Pudsley, Morley and Batley.
Travel and food expenses will be covered.
Roles
For the character of REGGIE
Reggie is a simple man who likes to keep things simple and unproblematic, even though he discards his health and duties to his family; alongside his friends. He's the voice of reason within the group and best friend to JOHN, the lead.
