Casting Overview
Casting actors in the Frankfurt / Wiesbaden area for 2 roles in a short film project “Mir geht es gut” (5-8minutes). The film is a realistic drama that explores the topic of depression from a male perspective.
Logline: Our protagonist, Nassim, came to Germany to study. Due to his stereotypical male upbringing and socialization, he never learned how to communicate his emotions or regulate them in a healthy way. As pressure from university and loneliness increase, he slowly begins to struggle with his mental health.
Shooting locations:
• Hochschule RheinMain – Campus “Unter den Eichen”
• Frankfurt Höchst (apartment location)
We are planning to shoot on two days. One day at each location.
We are filming with high-quality camera equipment and using professional software for sound and visual post-production.
This is a non-paid project by Media Technology students at Hochschule RheinMain in Wiesbaden, Hessen.
While we cannot offer payment, we will definitely provide pizza & lemonade during the shoot :)
Roles
Nassim (Main Character)
• Male actor
• Speaks both Arabic and German
• Age: 18–28
Character traits:
depressed, introverted, emotionally blocked, lonely, exhausted, angry, reserved

• Fluent German without a strong dialect

Character traits:
open-minded, caring, sensitive, funny, warm.
Cassy is one of Nassim’s close friends. She appears in two scenes interacting with him.
