Casting Open

Dublin-based actors (m), 60+, for Comedy Mockumentary
Casting Overview
We’re casting male actors aged 60 and up for a mockumentary about music (think Spinal Tap meets an Irish trad band gone to seed). A character-driven, comedic, low-key shoot directed by an established filmmaker.
About the Project: A comedic, fly-on-the-wall style project following a washed-up Irish trad band well past their prime. Think faded glory, big egos, bigger delusions, and a group that hasn’t quite accepted the glory days are over.
Shooting in Dublin City Centre from Friday, September 4th to Sunday, September 6th, 2026.
This is a grassroot, non-budget project, making it a fantastic portfolio and showreel opportunity for emerging talent looking for hands-on experience. We have secured all filming locations and will provide full, high-quality catering on set each day.

Roles
male, 60+, comfortable playing unglamorous, comedic characters: grumpy, deluded, past-it “legends”.
We are looking for big personalities and a good sense of comic timing; natural, characterful, faces and personalities are more important than polish; musical ability is not required, you will NOT need to actually play or sing. But if you do have any musical background (trad instruments, singing, or otherwise), please let us know - it may help with certain roles, but it’s a bonus, not a requirement.
