Casting 2 roles in a 20-30min Surrealist Short Film in English.
Logline - On the eve of his 21st birthday, Isola is thrown into a surreal adventure. Faced with a final reunion with his childhood friend, a strange circus clown and a birthday party that seemingly never ends, she is confronted by the quiet horrors of becoming an adult who has forgotten how to dream.
This is a no-budget graduation project to finish off the Film Production Bachelor's at SAE Institute in Amsterdam. It focuses on the strange stage between childhood and adulthood, and explores the fear of growing up, nostalgia for a long-gone past and the harshness of conformity in the adult world.
The film will be sent out to festivals, depending on the final quality of the project.

The crew is international and from different backgrounds, so English will be the official language on set.
Shooting Location: Amsterdam (NL)
Shooting Days: 3rd, 8th and 10th December 2025
Note: Rehearsals will be held for each day of the shoot. It is important that you notify us of your availability when applying for the role, to ensure that you are available for rehearsals as well.
The budget for this production is limited, and thus, no financial compensation is offered. Catering on the days of production is provided.

Moongirl (Supporting Role):

Visual Characteristics: Must have a young-looking face
Language: must have a good speaking and comprehension level of English.
Shooting Date: Wednesday, 10th December
Description: Moongirl is the alter ego of Isola (lead role), who never grew up. Stuck in her own little universe (Moonfield), she is the embodiment of the innocence and naivety of childhood. She shares a bittersweet scene with Isola, where she confronts Isola about her loss of ambition. Heavily inspired by The Little Prince, this character represents the inner child, who suffers when forgotten.

The Old Clown (Supporting Role):
Age: 40-50
Build: Not Specified
Visual Characteristics: Facial hair preferred
Language: must have a good speaking and comprehension level of English.
Shooting Date: Wednesday 3rd December
Description: The Old Clown acts as Isola’s mentor. Always having had a passion for the circus, Isola (main character) encounters her ‘idol’ backstage at the theatre. The Old Clown shatters her dreams through a monologue revealing his inner misery. This character represents all those who were ‘consumed’ by the negative aspects of the industry and ended up conforming to their own demise.
