Casting Overview
Set in the elegant and powerful Sherman estate, “I Know” explores the intricate, intergenerational web of family legacy, betrayal, and secrets. As the family gathers for a luxurious multi-course dinner, unspoken truths boil over, alliances fracture, and long-held secrets surface, ending up by culminating in a shocking, poetic finale that changes everything.
Shooting in the first half of July in Amsterdam (exact dates TBC).
This is a student production, so no monetary compensation is available but food and drinks on set will be provided throughout the shooting days. Travel expenses might be covered within a reasonable range.

-PHOEBE SHERMAN (20s)
The younger daughter. A writer waiting for her return in the industry, the rebellious, artistic emotional family member. Uses wit and chaos as a shield. A mix of vulnerability and anger. Charismatic but self-destructive.

Phoebe’s current partner. Thoughtful, grounded, observant. A failed journalist, now hired to play Phoebe's boyfriend. He serves as an internal POV for the audience.

A younger maid, new to the estate. Nervous, eager to please, and deeply aware of the shifting power dynamics. Smaller role, but emotionally resonant.

The eldest daughter. A sharp-tongued and calculating woman and powerful real estate agent. Wears her wealth and status like armour. Cold but deeply insecure underneath her composure. Must have strong dramatic presence.

-STANFORD CONNER (30s-40s)
Frances’ polished husband. A politician with charm, ambition, and deep down a warm heart but lacks of courage. Capable of charm and sometimes, quiet manipulation.

Head servant of the Sherman estate. Silent observer, deeply loyal, and perhaps the closest link to the dead patriarch of the family. Has known this family longer than anyone.

The estate’s chef. Loyal and precise. Minimal lines, but strong physical storytelling as he ends up being the mastermind of the dinner and its aftermath.
