L'Agnese va a Morire
Режисьор Giuliano Montaldo (1976)
Set during the Second World War in German-occupied Italy, the film follows Agnese, a middle-aged peasant woman whose husband is killed by Nazi forces, driving her to join the partisan resistance. Driven by grief and quiet determination rather than ideology, she becomes an increasingly vital figure within the movement, carrying out dangerous missions and sheltering fighters. The story traces her transformation from an ordinary rural woman into a hardened combatant, culminating in her inevitable fate.
