Angel of the Skies
(2013)
A young South African man travels to Europe and joins a World War II bomber crew, forming close bonds with his fellow airmen. After their aircraft is shot down over enemy territory, the survivors must evade capture and find their way back to safety. The story interweaves their wartime ordeal with a contemporary framing narrative involving a discovered crash site.
