The trail leads to a powerful and charming businessman, Alfred Harderberg, who operates from a grand castle and appears untouchable despite mounting evidence linking him to the murders. Wallander must navigate dangerous territory as he uncovers a sprawling conspiracy while struggling with his own psychological fragility.
