A man is forced to relive the memories of his ancestor, a member of a secretive brotherhood of assassins operating during the Spanish Inquisition, through a technology that allows past experiences to be physically re-enacted. In the present day, a powerful organisation seeks to use these recovered memories to locate an ancient artefact they believe holds the key to controlling human free will. As the protagonist delves deeper into his ancestor's world, he begins to question which side he truly belongs to.
