A lavish Turkish historical drama set in the Ottoman Empire during the reign of Süleyman the Magnificent, following his reign alongside the remarkable rise of Hürrem Sultan, a slave girl who becomes his beloved wife and one of the most powerful women in the empire's history. The series explores the intrigues, rivalries, and political machinations of the imperial court, as various factions compete for influence and favour. Hürrem's ascent provokes fierce opposition, particularly from the Sultan's mother and his loyal grand vizier Ibrahim Pasha, whose own relationship with Süleyman is tested over time.
