The Interpreter

A Slovak man whose father was murdered by a Nazi collaborator during the Second World War travels to Austria to confront the elderly perpetrator, enlisting the help of a Jewish interpreter whose own family history is entangled with the same wartime atrocities. The two men, from very different backgrounds and with contrasting motives, form an uneasy partnership as they track down the ageing killer. Their journey forces both of them to grapple with questions of justice, memory, and whether vengeance can bring any real sense of closure decades after the crimes were committed.
