Colin V Morgan

Coming from an already mixed background and being a longtime expat, I enjoy playing the cultural chameleon and occasionally losing myself in a role outside of my background. Breathing life into characters who have a voice, who speak their truth, who perceive injustice, who rage against it and yet who, ironically, feel unheard and even marginalized, is what I do best. I am often called upon to play the one character who breaks the silence and gets everyone else to think, at the risk of becoming persona non-gratta; more often than not facing the tragic consequences of today's whistle-blower. It was Dr. Martin Luther King who once said, quote, "A riot is, at base, the language of the unheard", and I can see my characters wanting to do just that, biding their time and waiting for the right moment to light a match.

I have worked on international productions for platforms like Paramount+, Netflix, Apple TV+, HBO Max, Movistar+, and TVE. My credits include Zorro (Paramount+), La Pasión Turca (Netflix), Land of Women (Apple TV+), 30 Coins (HBO Max, dir. Álex de la Iglesia), La Unidad (Movistar+, as an FBI agent), and Ena (TVE, as King Edward VII). In film, I appear in The Beast (dir. Renny Harlin), Rich Flu (dir. Galder Gaztelu-Urrutia), and Upon Entry. My earlier work includes the US series Still Star-Crossed (ABC/Shondaland), Hijab, and In Ice Cold Blood.

Directors often cast me as authority figures, English-speaking antagonists, morally ambiguous characters, and in period dramas, drawing on a calm, deep voice and grounded presence. Beyond screen acting, I have worked in commercials (Google Pixel, Samsung, Nikon, Škoda), voice-over, and theatre in Barcelona and Madrid, including Top Manta, which I co-wrote.

I am based in Barcelona and Los Angeles, hold EU and US passports, and can work as a local hire in the US, France, Spain, the UK, and Chile.

My kids, acting, improv, languages, exercise, the coastline, a good script and the occasional glass of wine are my life.
