La marraine de Charley

A young man persuades his friend to disguise himself as a woman in order to pose as his godmother, creating a series of farcical complications when romantic entanglements and suspicious relatives threaten to expose the deception. The ruse becomes increasingly difficult to maintain as the fake "godmother" attracts unwanted attention from amorous suitors. The comedy builds to a chaotic climax as the truth edges ever closer to the surface.
