3 Heroines

Three Indonesian women from different historical eras are celebrated for their courage and contributions to the nation: Raden Ajeng Kartini, who championed education and equality for women in the colonial period; Martha Christina Tiahahu, a teenage warrior who fought against Dutch forces in Maluku; and Dewi Sartika, who dedicated her life to establishing schools for girls in West Java. Their stories are dramatised in parallel, illustrating how each woman defied the constraints of her time to inspire future generations. The film serves as a tribute to these national heroines on the occasion of Indonesia's Women's Day.
