Facing Windows

A middle-aged Roman couple take in a confused elderly man they find wandering the streets, gradually uncovering that he is a Jewish pastry chef haunted by a secret from wartime Italy. Meanwhile, the wife develops a growing fascination with the attractive young man who lives across the courtyard, whose presence forces her to confront her own stifled desires and the life she has settled for. The two storylines intertwine as buried histories of love, loss, and sacrifice are brought painfully to light.
