The Feast of the Goat

Based on Mario Vargas Llosa's novel, the film follows a young Dominican woman who returns to her homeland decades after fleeing the brutal dictatorship of Rafael Trujillo, her traumatic past gradually coming to light. The narrative weaves between the present day and two parallel threads set in 1961: the dictator's final hours as a group of conspirators close in on him, and the harrowing events that destroyed her family.
