La Sconosciuta

A Ukrainian woman arrives in an Italian city and manoeuvres herself into a job as a cleaner in an upmarket apartment building, becoming increasingly fixated on one of the families who live there, particularly their young daughter. As she grows closer to the child, disturbing fragments of her past are revealed through flashbacks, exposing a history of trafficking, exploitation and violence. The film gradually unravels the mysterious connection she believes exists between herself and the little girl.
