Anita Garibaldi

A Brazilian miniseries dramatising the life of Ana Maria de Jesus Ribeiro, better known as Anita Garibaldi, a fierce and courageous woman who becomes a celebrated revolutionary fighter. She falls in love with the Italian nationalist Giuseppe Garibaldi and joins him in his military campaigns across South America and Europe. The story traces her transformation from a young woman in southern Brazil to an iconic figure of the nineteenth-century liberation movements.
