Starlight Express

A stage musical set in a child's imagination, where toy trains from around the world compete in a grand racing championship. The central character is a steam engine called Rusty, who is considered outdated and slow compared to his diesel and electric rivals, yet dreams of proving his worth. With the help of a mysterious figure known as the Starlight Express, Rusty finds the confidence and strength to compete against the odds.
