Everybody Loves Diamonds

A dramatised account of the audacious 2003 Antwerp diamond heist, one of the largest robberies in history, following the Italian gang led by Leonardo Notarbartolo as they meticulously plan and execute the theft of hundreds of millions of euros' worth of gems from the supposedly impenetrable Antwerp Diamond Centre vault. The series interweaves the perspectives of the thieves and the investigators piecing together what happened in the aftermath. Personal relationships, betrayals, and the mounting pressure of evading capture complicate the gang's attempt to enjoy the spoils of their crime.
