Heimat Südtirol: The Mission of Michael Gamper
(2014)
A documentary examining the life and work of Michael Gamper, a Catholic priest who devoted himself to preserving the cultural and linguistic identity of the German-speaking population of South Tyrol during the early twentieth century, particularly in resisting Fascist Italianisation policies. The film traces his tireless advocacy through journalism and political engagement, portraying him as a central figure in the fight to maintain the region's distinct Tyrolean heritage under considerable personal risk.
